Mark was born and raised in Alberta. As such, he enjoys travelling throughout the province to assist his clients (including to Birdsell Grant LLP’s offices in Edmonton, Stony Plain, and Whitecourt). Mark also remains willing and able to accommodate his clients in hospitals, retirement communities, and assisted living residences to ensure his clients’ legal needs are properly met no matter their location.

Prior to working at Birdsell Grant LLP, Mark had the unique experience of working for energy companies operating on an international level as well as not-for-profit organizations operating on a local level. During law school, Mark was employed by the Dean of Law as their sole Research Assistant and co-authored a paper addressing indigenous identity in Canada.

 
Mark has held a spirited social conscience for all of his life and remains devoted to charity work and volunteering. Mark has volunteered with charities and foundations supporting animal rescue, food banks, homeless shelters, youth sports, wildfire efforts, police services, relief for Ukraine, and local communities. When Mark is not assisting his clients or volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and fostering dogs.
