This event is held by the Rotary Club of Stony Plain, the Rotary Club of Spruce Grove and the Rotary Club of Parkland After Dark, in partnership with the Coordinated Suicide Prevention Program (Simon Poultney Foundation). The mission of the event is to raise funds for suicide awareness and prevention in Parkland County, the Town of Stony Plain and the City of Spruce Grove through awareness and educational program. More information can be found on theirwebsite.
This year, members of our firm supported the Rotary Run For Life in a number of ways. Some firm members were a part of the planning committee, including Alyson Brown, Lara Smith, Miranda Davis and Jessica Chapman. Other members of our firm also participated in the run, including Alastair Grant (10km), Michael Long (1/2 marathon), Jessica Chapman (5km walk), Dianne Goruk (5km walk), Joanne Bachand (5km walk), Lorri Nardelli (5km walk) and Maddox The Office Dog (5km walk). Samantha Blanchard also volunteered at the event.
Although Maddox The Office Dog was tuckered out after the event, the team reports that the Rotary Run For Life 2013 was a great success.
Birdsell Grant LLP would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the members of our firm and the community who come together each year to make this event happen. We are proud to support this important cause and look forward to Rotary Run For Life 2014.
